Bible Road Trip™ is an engaging, fun, three-year Bible survey curriculum for preschool through high school. That means that if you start in preschool, you can take your child all the way through the Bible five times by the time he or she graduates from high school. Bible Road Trip™ Year One covers the books of law and history (Genesis to Esther) in 32 weeks, at five levels, for preschool to high school. Year Two goes through the books of poetry and prophecy (Job to Malachi), and Year Three is the books of the New Testament (Matthew through Revelation).

We’ve been using this for our bible study curriculum and we love it! I downloaded the free notebooking sheets and have been checking books and videos out of the library. I have a son that would be going into 5th grade next year, but he is at a 3rd or 4th grade level. I do not home school yet, but we are strongly considering it with all that is going on in public school. Right now, the public schools in Michigan want to force all public schools in the state to go transgender with all bathrooms and locker rooms, and pass something where if a child at any age decides that they would rather be the opposite sex and be called any name other than there own. Staff and students are to address the child by that name and gender and allow that child to act accordingly. But all records and contact with parents and guardians or doctors, etc, are still to address the child by their given name and physical gender. This could pass into law as soon as May. And as I mentioned, we have a 10 year old son, but we also have a 4 year old son who would start preschool. This might be our last straw, with this law.

I’m excited to add the Memory Cards to our lessons. I think it’s another great way to help further our children’s knowledge of the God’s word. I really like the idea of having the additional visual for younger kids who aren’t writing/reading much. I love the diversity and ability to use the program with multiple age levels and that you include multiple resource references with the program. I like the circular approach. I would use year 2 dialectic with my 13 and 11 year olds.
We’re planning to use Year 3 next year as the core of all our schooling for my PreK, K, 2nd, and 4th graders. I used BRT for a few months back when my oldest was in 1st grade, but I just had too many little ones to keep up with and decided to save it for another time. I’m so excited to be coming back this year now that I have 4 kids ready to participate at some level. I think the memory cards are a great addition, and I love the color coding and artwork to go along with the rest of the curriculum. Looking forward to Year 3 being released!

What excites me about the Bible road trip?
It is simply teaching our children God truth, his love and his mercy for us. Learning about His story that is so often disguised as history leaving out the most important truths of Gods hand working. I love seeing learning the Bible helps for children! Not only have my children learned so much about the Lord, but I have as well.

We have been doing Year 1 grades 7-9, and we are loving it. I would love to continue with Year 2 grades 7-9. This is a wonderful program because it teaches kids about the Bible by letting them read and study the Bible for themselves. They have to read the Bible and answer the questions, so we get an opportunity to discuss it with them and sometimes that discussion takes us to so many places. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing this Bible program. Thank you Danika for making this program available for us in an affordable way.

We have pre-K – 4th grade. The memory verse cards look great. But super interested in the whole program.
We used year one with my 2 older kids a few years ago and I love how versatile this program is set up to where you can teach more than one kid. My boys are 11,7,and 5.I think their favorite part of this program is that it incorporates the what’s in the bible videos and they absolutely love them.
What a wonderful addition this would be for our family devotions AND homeschool! My kids are ages 8, 6, and 3 – so I would choose a middle level for the verses!
I would love to have Year 2 for all grade levels!
I’m not sure which one we would do, I’d love to start with year 1, but I have a 9 yr old 4th grader next year, and a kinder and a 2 yr old. I’m not sure which would be the best level? The one for 4th graders and make it a little easier for the younger or go with the preschool/kinder one and make it slightly harder for my older son. This looks amazing though!

We love Bible road trip and are working our way through it for the second time!! We have done all the levels as we have 15 kids in our family. We have purchased all the books, DVDs and such but I don’t have the memory cards which would be a wonderful addition to our curriculum. Memory verses are something that I struggle with and need to be more on top of. This would help so much.

We are just getting ready to start this summer. The memory cards would be a great supplement to have. We would choose Year 1 and we are using the Upper Grammar level.
We are starting this summer, and I am so excited to try this Bible program. I love that it can be used with different ages at the same time. This year I will mostly use it with my 8 and 9 year old children, but our younger children will join in in a few years. We are using Year 1 Upper Grammar Level.

For the bible memory cards, the thing that excites me most is that it’ll help me be more organized. I love that Bible Road Trip covers the whole bible in 3 years and can be used with various ages.

I bought all three years of your bible road trip curriculum and we started the first year right after christmas and absolutely loved it!! I was painstakingly writing all the memory verses onto index cards as we needed them. so when I saw you were selling them I pinned it right away so I could order them later. I would love to win any set of those because we have Grades 1,4,6,and 8 next year and even the road trip curriculum set because I’d like to gift it to someone. This looks like a great, easy-to-use survey of the Bible that would allow for good retention of the information. I love that each week includes memory work and prayer. I have two kids (and one on the way). My oldest will start Kindergarten this Fall.
Scripture memory cards are a great way to learn since you can take them with you wherever you go (for the most part). They would be a great addition to our homeschool.

I’m excited about the Bible Road Trip because having a plan that includes the entire family will encourage scripture memorization.
I haven’t used the Bible Road Trip yet, but I anticipate loving the flash cards as that will make it easy to keep the scripture front and center making the scripture easy to access at all times. I just graduated my last child, but plan to help with homeschooling my grandchildren. The oldest is not three yet. I would love to have the Rhetoric set for myself.

I love Bible Road Trip! I am a firm believer in learning as much about the Bible as possible so that when questions come (and they will) we have answers. When I was in middle school, I lost my faith because I didn’t have anyone to provide me with answers or guidance and I didn’t set foot in a church for a long time after that. That experience (as well as the way some “Christians” reacted to me when I was openly Pagan in high school) has always stuck with me and informed how I tackle biblical topics with my children. And I love that Bible Road Trip provides so much extra information for study. The Bible Memory Cards are such a lovely addition too. I know that our memory system was not pretty and my very visual oldest child didn’t seem interested because of it.

Year One Prek/k. My oldest will be in first grade next year but I am not worried about it being too “low” for her – I could add to it if I needed to. My youngest will be 3, so I feel like this is one we could do all together (I like homeschool activities that all the kids can do together!)
This will be our first year and we will be studying Year 1 with our 16,14,11,& 8 year old girls to tie in with our Ancients study.
I am using BRT Year 1 with a 10 yr old, 8 yr old, and 4 yr old. We love the supplemental books that help us see the big picture as we have been reading through the law and history books. We also love the notes and questions that you have written. They help us remember interesting connections with Scripture we read several months ago – details we would have forgotten. My husband and I both deeply appreciate this approach to Bible study: to keep both the immediate context and the entire big picture in mind as we are reading; to ask God to show us more about His character and what He has been doing, and to change our hearts as we learn. You have made it extremely easy to do this with our kiddos. Thanks for doing all the leg-work and giving us something that is truly open-and-go! My kids love it as much as I do!
I would choose Year 1 Lower Elementary. I’ve been wanting to have a deeper Bible study with my kiddos and need a boost to get going. There’s so much to teach and I’ve been trying to get my thoughts together. I am hoping for a more organized method for Bible study. I have six kiddos. Ages 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9.

We just recently started bible road trip for kindergarten and we love it. Not only is my kinder learning but I am learning too.
I would love to have my son learn the Bible effectively to enable him to have victory in his life as he grows. As we commit scripture to memory, it allows us to pull from that when we are having a tough time and walking through trials. The scriptures he learns now will enable him to walk with faith through the fires of life and this program would give him the ability to endure to the end.
I am just getting started using “Road Trip”, with my 8 and 9 year old granddaughters, who now live with me after losing their mother to cancer. The girls really enjoy working through the lessons, and I am appreciating how easy it is to use. Not only are we all learning together, but they are having fun doing it. Both have shared what they learn with their friends. Since I have most of year one, I would like to enter your contest for year two, grades 4-6.

I’m excited to think about teaching the connections across various books of the Bible. I think I still have some vague understanding of the way the books overlap and entertwine. This curriculum looks great for untangling that.

I already own level one, so I would have to go with level two. Since I also already own all the “What’s in the Bible” DVD’s, however, I would probably go with a higher age range than my kids are really in – most likely rhetoric – as my husband and I would be able to use the resources while our kiddo’s use their age appropriate ones. But of course the chance of winning is small – still, it’s a cool giveaway!

What a giveaway! I have been eyeing this for a while. From what I can see each year is all grades incorporated into one…so an 8th grader can work from the same book as a younger child. Love this aspect.

Bible Road Trip is exciting to me because there is a clearly outlined plan and my kids of different ages can participate in it together!

We used Year One and absolutely loved it. We love going through the Bible in order, diving in deep. I love that you’ve made it easy to adjust for different age groups – you’ve done all the hard thinking for me! I love that you offer comprehension questions that sometimes remind us of things we read several months ago, and how they connect with what we’re reading today. I love the other books/DVDs that you’ve scheduled (and again, you’ve done all the hard work for me!). I also love how flexible and adaptable everything is, so that if one component doesn’t work for us, we just don’t use it. I love that my kids really demonstrate a passion for the Bible – they love BRT time! They also are really remembering what we’re reading. I think it’s the combination of thoughtful discussion questions paired with the excellent outside resources that help us keep the big picture in mind while studying the smaller pictures. Finally, I love how your focus is on the Grace of God – the Gospel. This is not a “building morals” curriculum or an “imitate Bible heroes” curriculum – this is a curriculum that teaches us about the heart of God, the waywardness of His children, and His relentless pursuit of and faithfulness towards us. That is what I believe is the Bible’s main message, and I am so thrilled that you offer an easy way for us to communicate that to our children. I think what excites me most about the scripture memory cards is the fact that they could be an additional tool to help my kiddos (and ME!) hide more of God’s Word in our hearts. And I love that they’re available in ESV. I learned in KJV and NIV84 (I think that’s what it’s called – not the newer NIV) and our current church uses ESV, which I love as a happy, accurate middle ground. 🙂 I want my kids to learn in the ESV translation as well.

I would be amazing to win this! After much prayer and consideration, we are moving our kids out of a private, Christian school back into public school. They will be going into 7th & 8th grade and the Dialectic level would be perfect to continue to reinforce what they have previously learned each day in school. As a full-time working mom and dad, we don’t have the time to create such an in-depth curriculum as this. I just discovered this site and am so excited to learn more Bible history alongside my kids, especially the poetry and prophecy year since I feel like I really never studied that part of the Bible growing up. One of my favorite parts of homeschooling is learning with my kids!
We have never done a bible based curriculum, even though we’ve been homeschooling since Jan. of 2016. I’ve wanted to from the beginning, but never known what to choose or how to start. I have heard wonderful things about Bible Road Trip! This seems like the perfect option for our family to get our feet wet in the world of Christian curriculum.
I copied this from the page telling about the Bible Memory Verse Cards. This verse says it all for me for why we need to memorize scripture. By using the cards, we can commit nuggets to memory that the Holy Spirit will retrieve for us when we need them. Our faith will be built up. “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

Hi Danika, have been considering using your curriculum for a while now. We have started doing a study on Philippians as a family, but it’s tricky to make it engaging for everyone, especially with a wide age spread (16-4). I’m not sure which would be most beneficial to our family. But I’d probably choose either yr 1 or 3 aimed at 12 y old as my son struggles the most to engage with Family Bible time.

We have been looking at the Bible Road Trip all summer as a strong possibility for our homeschool. We would love to start with year 1 Upper Elementary.
I would choose yea one, for grades 4-6. My nephew is going to be staying in state with my mom so he can stay at his school. But they are starting with virtual learning, so he won’t be learning much that way. So we plan to supplement it by teaching him ourselves, and we want to teach him Bible. Start from the beginning. He’s 15, but is special needs, he’s blind. And has CP, at is most likely on the Autism spectrum except he hasn’t been diagnosed with that last one. Sp I think THE WHAT’S IN the Bibls videos would be perfect for him.

We did the first year of Bible Road Trip two years ago. I’m not sure why we didn’t continue with year two last year because we all really enjoyed it. I certainly learned so much while teaching my kids. I have a curriculum that uses the Bible heavily but is not an actual in depth study of the Bible. We’ll have to start year two this year as it will be a perfect fit for what we are studying in history.

We have homeschooled our youngest his entire life. He is now 12 and entering 7th grade. His curriculum this year did not include a separate Bible class. They have every year before and starting in 9th grade they will be able to choose Bible Electives. I have been looking for what I would teach. He loves his Bible class! It is a great opportunity for he and I to have discussions we may would not have otherwise and I get to really “drive home” the Word of God for every day living. If I won this giveaway, I would choose Upper Grammar (4-6) Year 3 even though his grade matches up with Year 3 (Grades 7-9). Looking at the material, I believe he would enjoy the Upper Grammar class more! I purchased Bible Road Trip Year 3 the Gospels several years ago and I recently purchased the memory verse cards and notebooking journals. I plan to use these this year with my 3 boys, in 2nd, 4th and 8th grades. Thank you for providing such a deep and meaningful curriculum to allow us to point our kids toward Jesus.
Our family is doing a walk through the Bible and the Bible Road Trip is a good framework to help in our Bible study. I love that you can teach the Bible to a multi-age group of kids. My kids are very young still and my husband and I want to be intentional in building a strong Biblical foundation in our kids and most importantly, in shepherding them to have a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

My 12 year old son and I are enjoying going through Year One Dialectic. He is using the notebook that comes along with it. Its a deep dive into the Bible and we are loving it. I really like the book of the Bible summaries, and I like that the scripture selections have been made according to the grade level of the student. That is helpful for knowing what scripture to read. I wish it was easier to contact Danika with questions. I cannot find her contact info. anywhere.

I keep coming back to your blog to check out the Bible Road Trip material. In my head, it would be used as a Bible curriculum (of course), but it looks like there is a lot of personal study involved, or what I would consider personal study in my own devotional time. How have other families done this? Do you have them do devotions on top of the Bible Road Trip material? Do you minimize their personal study during this (read through the bible) and have the curriculum be the bulk? Does it become academic? I’m looking at the Grades 7-9 material. We’re not there yet, but we will be soon, and I need to start thinking through logistics. Just curious to know how others have done it.
