How better can our kids learn about the Bible, than to learn and understand how the God speaks about his written Word to us in Scripture itself? God tells us how to view his Word, and we can help our kids better understand the importance and value of Scripture as they memorize Bible verses on the Bible.
Bible Verse Copywork
While you read my book, Help Your Kids Learn and Love the Bible, you’ll learn how to help your family really read, discuss, and meditate on the Word of God. One way to meditate on God’s Word is to memorize it.
In Part Three: A Daily Walk, I talk about some of the benefits of Scripture memorization in chapter 9: Hide the Word of God in Your Child’s Heart. I also discuss how different children learn and remember–and how to tailor your Bible memorization to your child’s learning modality.
Bible verse copywork can be a quick and easy way to help your kids remember verses. In this Verses about the Bible copywork pack, your child will work on learning eight Bible verses about the Bible. He or she will also keep track of verses as they learn each one. Coloring pictures as they go can help your child really think about each verse and remember the picture they colored to go along with it.
Copywork is just one tool among many when it comes to Bible memorization. Be sure to try a number of the tips and tricks from chapter 9 of Help Your Kids Learn and Love the Bible, observing what seems to work best for your child. As you identify their learning modality, you can emphasize Scripture memory techniques that will best suit their God-given strengths.
